    S.A.G. Solarstrom Receives Another €40m Financing for Project Pipeline

    March 18, 2013. S.A.G. Solarstrom AG today received a financing commitment from the Deutsche Bank Group for €40 million. Following the project financing framework in the amount of €65 million granted in 2012 as a bridging loan for projects, which had been installed chiefly in the second half of 2012, the Deutsche Bank Group has thus now once again provided S.A.G. Solarstrom AG with a financing framework for various planned projects that are to be implemented in 2013 and 2014 in Germany. Due to the drop in system prices on the market, projects of a comparable size as last year can be implemented with this project planning framework.

    Martifer Solar Completes Two PV Projects in Spain Totaling 4.26MWp

    March 19, 2013 - Martifer Solar has just concluded two photovoltaic projects in Spain, in a total of 4.26MWp. The company was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of the projects, a photovoltaic park of 3.8MWp in Lorca, Murcia, and a rooftop installation of 460kWp in Toledo, being in charge, from now on, of the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services of both installations.

    Borrego Solar Acquires Solar Projects in California Totaling More than 8MW

    March 19, 2013 - Borrego Solar Systems, Inc. today announced that it has acquired a diverse portfolio of solar projects totaling more than 8 megawatts (MW) located throughout five areas within California. The portfolio includes two utility projects totaling 3MW under Southern California Edison (SCE)'s California Renewable Energy Small Tariff (CREST) program. The remaining projects are power purchase agreements (PPAs) with various school districts and include bundled-solar and energy-efficiency solutions. Borrego Solar acquired the projects and completed their development, providing all the necessary project financing, engineering, procurement and construction of the solar facilities.

    Suntech Announces Default with Respect to Its 3% Convertible Notes

    March 18, 2013 - Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that it has received from the trustee of its 3% Convertible Notes (the "Notes") a notice of default and acceleration relating to Suntech's non-payment of the principal amount of US$541 million that was due to holders of the Notes on March 15, 2013. Such event of default has also triggered cross-defaults under Suntech's other outstanding debt, including its loans from International Finance Corporation and Chinese domestic lenders.

    Landmark Commercial Development Selects ReneSola Modules for Second Project Phase

    March 15, 2013 - ReneSola Ltd today announced it has been contracted to provide 460 kilowatts ("kW") of its solar modules to Cummings Properties. The solar modules will make up the rooftop solar system of Cummings Center, a two-million square foot corporate campus and retail center in Beverly, Massachusetts. This is the second project for which Cummings Center has selected ReneSola modules. The first project, built last fall, was 530 kW, bringing the total contracted by Cummings Center to nearly 1 megawatt ("MW").
