    Soitec Establishes CPV Solar-Energy Pilot Plant for Minera El Tesoro in Chile

    May 27, 2013 - Minera El Tesoro (MET) has built the first pilot plant in South America with Soitec Solar technology, installing four of its concentrator photovoltaic (CPV) systems at a site in Chile's Sierra Gorda district to provide renewable energy for a remote copper-mining operation.

    28. Mai 2013 - Die SolarWorld AG verkaufte in den ersten drei Monaten des Jahres weniger Solarstrommodule und Bausätze als im Vorjahresquartal. Die Absatzmenge belief sich im 1. Quartal 2013 konzernweit auf 109 (Q1 2012: 147) MW. Einen Rückgang verzeichnete das Unternehmen vor allem im Heimatmarkt Deutschland. Wesentliche Gründe waren das ungewöhnlich harte und lang andauernde Winterwetter sowie der anhaltende Restrukturierungsprozess der SolarWorld.

    Martifer Solar to Build Latin America's Largest PV Plant in Mexico

    23.05.2013 - Martifer Solar is building a 30MW photovoltaic plant in Mexico, the largest to date in Latin America. The company is responsible for the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services of the plant and will also provide the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services upon completion. The project will be funded by local development bank Nafin, by International Finance Corporation (IFC, the World Bank Group) and Corporación Aura Solar.
