    Canadian Solar Completes Sale of BeamLight and Alfred Solar Power Plants

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. completed the sale of its 10MW AC BeamLight LP and its 10MW AC Alfred solar power plants to Concord BeamLight GP2 Ltd. for over CAD152.5 Million (USD115 Million). BowMont Capital and Advisory acted as financial advisor to Concord on this transaction.

    Renesola Sells Two Commercial Solar Projects in U.S.

    ReneSola Ltd today announced that it sold its two solar projects in Holyoke, Massachusetts to C2 Special Situations Group, LLC. The Projects have a combined capacity of approximately 1.3MWDC and will sell the power generated to the local utility under a 20-year purchase agreement. The Projects were completed in Q4 2016 and qualified for the Massachusetts RPS Solar Carve-Out II Program.

    Canadian Solar Completes the Sale of Two Solar Power Plants in China

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that CSI New Energy Holding Co., Ltd. has completed the sale of 2 solar power plants in Jiangsu Province, China to Shenzhen Energy Nanjing Holding Co., Ltd. for approximately RMB223.48 million (US$32.2 million). The transaction was closed on December 30, 2016 and the Company expects to recognize the difference between the sales proceeds and the book value of the projects under 'Other income (expenses)' in the income statement for the fourth quarter of 2016.

    Tesla and Panasonic Will Begin Manufacturing in Buffalo, NY

    Tesla and Panasonic have finalized an agreement this week to begin the manufacturing of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules at the Buffalo, NY factory. These PV cells and modules will be used to produce solar panels in the non-solar roof products. When production of the solar roof begins, Tesla will also incorporate Panasonic's cells into the many kinds of solar glass tile roofs that Tesla will be manufacturing. All of these solar products will work seamlessly with Tesla's energy storage products, Powerwall and Powerpack. Production of the first PV modules will begin in summer 2017, and will ramp to 1GW of module production by 2019.

    Azure Power Wins 50MW Solar Power Project under SECI Auction

    Azure Power announced that it has won a 50MW solar power project under the National Solar Mission (NSM) Phase II Batch III, which was recently put up for auction by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). Azure Power secured 50MW of the total 100MW capacity auctioned and will supply power to SECI for 25 years. The project will be built in the Ananthapuramu Solar Park, which is being developed by the Solar Park Implementation Agency (SPIA), Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Limited (APSPCL).
