    REC Reports Second Quarter 2012 Results

    Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (REC) reported second quarter 2012 revenues from continuing operations of NOK 1,987 million and EBITDA of NOK 267 million. Further operational improvement resulted in FBR cash production cost of 12.0 USD/kg and module cash cost of 71 Eurocents/watt. Net debt was reduced to NOK 4.1 billion in the quarter.

    SolarCity, Lend Lease Announce Next Phase in SolarStrong Project

    Lend Lease and SolarCity have announced the next project within SolarStrong, SolarCity's ambitious plan to provide solar electricity for up to 120,000 U.S. military homes. The two companies are collaborating to provide renewable solar energy to more than 850 military residences at Lend Lease-managed Air Force communities in California and Colorado Springs -- Tierra Vista at the Los Angeles Air Force Base, and Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB, both in Colorado Springs.

    Sunways, Deutsche Solar Enter an Agreement Regarding Earlier Two Contracts

    Today, the management board of Sunways AG, Konstanz, on the basis of a resolution passed on the same day, entered into an agreement with Deutsche Solar GmbH regarding the amendment and early termination of two long-term contracts originally concluded in 2006 and 2007 that provide for the supply of photovoltaic wafers by Deutsche Solar GmbH (at the time the contracts were concluded still under the firm Deutsche Solar AG). The supervisory board of Sunways AG approved the conclusion of this agreement.

    IKEA Plugs-in New Solar Energy System at Pittsburgh-Area Store

    IKEA today officially plugged-in the new solar energy system installed at its Pittsburgh-area store in Robinson Township, Pennsylvania. The 86,800-square-foot PV array consists of a 694-kW system, built with 2,884 panels. IKEA Pittsburgh's program will produce approximately 852,200kWh of clean electricity annually, the equivalent of reducing 648 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2), eliminating the emissions of 115 cars or powering 73 homes yearly.

    Hoku Corporation to Delist from the NASDAQ Global Market

    Hoku Corporation announced today that it intends to voluntarily terminate the listing of its common stock on The NASDAQ Global Market by filing a Form 25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") on or about July 16, 2012. As previously announced, the Company is not in compliance with NASDAQ's continuing listing requirements due to its inability to maintain a $1.00 minimum bid price and to file its annual report on Form 10-K, and the Company expects its common stock to be delisted from The NASDAQ Global Market. To ensure an orderly delisting process, the Company has decided to voluntarily terminate the listing of its common stock on The NASDAQ Global Market by filing a Form 25 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") on or about July 16, 2012. On July 5, 2012, NASDAQ halted the trading of Hoku's common stock. NASDAQ has informed Hoku that the trading of its common stock on NASDAQ will remain halted until the delisting is completed upon the Form 25 filing.
