RenuEn Obtains 50MW Solar Project via Pending Acquisition of Team Energy
RenuEn Corporation is pleased to announce that the Company has secured a 50MW Solar project in Pakistan through its pending acquisition of Team Energy, Inc. The project will be managed by a foreign operating subsidiary, which is also joining RenuEn upon closing of the acquisition. The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is guaranteed by the Government of Pakistan and is for 25 years. For their management in the project, the Company will realize income throughout the duration of the PPA. -

SMA Upgrades Efficiency, Power Output of Sunny Island Inverters
SMA has released its new Sunny Island 4548-US and 6048-US off-grid solar inverters for the North American market. Expanding upon the proven technology of the Sunny Island 5048-US, these devices reach a new maximum efficiency of 96 percent and CEC-weighted efficiencies up to 94.5 percent, as well as up to a 20 percent increase in power output for the Sunny Island 6048-US. The Sunny Island 4548-US and 6048-US can be paired with SMA's Multicluster Box, making them ideal for three through 100kW off-grid PV systems. -

KYOCERA Establishes New Company to Operate 70MW Solar Power Plant in Japan
Kyocera Corporation, along with six other companies, today announced the completion of capital investment procedures for the establishment of Kagoshima Mega Solar Power Corporation, a new company which will be tasked with operating a 70 megawatt (MW) solar power plant in southern Japan. The utility-scale solar power plant will become the largest in Japan. -

JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that it entered into a share transfer agreement (the "Agreement") on July 23, 2012 with M.SETEK Co., Ltd. ("M.SETEK"). Pursuant to the Agreement, M.SETEK will transfer its 65% equity interest in Hebei Ningjin Songgong Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Talesun Signed a 26MW Agreement with Nice Corporation
Zhongli Talesun Solar Co., Ltd. has signed a 26MW manufacturing agreement with Nice Corporation recently. According to the contract, Zhongli Talesun will provide at least 26MW solar modules with Talesun brand. The products mainly refer to Poly-crystalline Module TP660P and Mono-crystalline Module TP572M. -

Suntech Investigates Security Interest in Connection With GSF
Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. today announced that the Company is conducting an investigation into a security interest Suntech received in connection with its investment in Global Solar Fund, S.C.A., Sicar ("GSF"). Based on recent review and inquiries, Suntech suspects that the collateral related to the security interest may not have existed and the Company may have been a victim of fraud.
