    Yingli Green Energy to Expand Its Footprint into Malaysia Residential Market

    July 2, 2013 - Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Green Energy Singapore Company Pte. Limited has signed a framework agreement with RE FIT Solution Sdn. Bhd. to supply 500KW of multicrystalline PV modules for the residential market in Malaysia. These modules will power at least 125 families, which currently accounts for nearly 10% of the residential market in Malaysia.

    Romania: Conergy Builds Its First Rooftop Plant with 540kW Capacity in Bucharest

    02 July 2013 – Conergy is building its first rooftop plant in Romania with a capacity of 540 kilowatts. The plant is being installed on the 8,200 square metre warehouse rooftop of one producer for soft drinks in the metropolis of Bucharest, in the district of Titan some 10 kilometres east of the city centre. Conergy is responsible for the planning and engineering of the solar plant as well as the supply of the modules and inverters and supports its customer in the project management and commissioning. After two free-field solar power plants with a respective capacity of 2.2 and 2 megawatts, this rooftop installation is already Conergy's third solar project in Romania. It will also be cost-effective under the new Romanian legislation on support for green power, which just came into force on 1 July 2013.

    Apple to Reportedly Build 20MW Solar Farm for Reno Datacenter

    July 01, 2013 - In a partnership with Nevada utility NV Energy, Apple plans to build a solar farm that will output between 18 and 20 megawatts of power, reports GigaOM. Apple's two solar arrays in Maiden, N.C. also generate around 20MW of energy each.

    SMA liefert Wechselrichter für zwei weitere PV-Kraftwerke in Südafrika

    28. Juni 2013 – In Südafrika werden ab August 2013 zwei weitere große Photovoltaikkraftwerke mit Zentral-Wechselrichtern der SMA Solar Technology AG (SMA) gebaut. Die PVKraftwerke werden vom norwegischen Solaranlagenentwickler Scatec Solar entwickelt, gebaut und teilweise auch betrieben. Für insgesamt 115MWp PV-Leistung kommen dort 125 Sunny Central CP XT Wechselrichter, 65 Transformer Compact Stationen zum Anschluss an das Mittelspannungsnetz, 750 Sunny String Monitore und ein speziell für die Netzanforderungen des südafrikanischen Stromversorgers ESKOM konfigurierter Power Plant Controller zur Parkregelung zum Einsatz.
