Canadian Solar to Receive C$35 Million Loan from National Bank of Canada
Dec. 2, 2013 - Canadian Solar today announced that the National Bank of Canada will provide the Company with up to C$35 million, in short-term construction financing. This credit facility will be used to finance the construction of one of the Company's solar projects in Ontario, Canada. -

Pacific Power Renewables Helps the City of Reedley Go Solar
Nov. 3, 2013 - Pacific Power Renewables has broken ground for the City of Reedley to install solar power on four city sites. 947KW is currently being installed at the waste water treatment plant, the community center, the Royal Valley building and Reedley City Hall. The solar production will offset 100% of the city's power usage at those sites. According to Nicole Zieba, City Manager, "In our City's Centennial Year (1913-2013), it seems apropos to continue Reedley's longstanding tradition of being good stewards of both our natural resources and the public's tax dollars." -

Hanwha SolarOne Reaches RMB3.5 Billion Credit Agreement with the Bank of Beijing
Dec. 2, 2013 - Hanwha SolarOne today announced it has finalized a framework agreement with the Bank of Beijing for access to up to RMB3.5 billion (approximately US$574 million) of credit over the next three years. Trina Solar Announces Joint Venture with Yabang Group
Trina Solar Limited announced that it has entered into an agreement (the "JV Agreement") to establish a joint venture (the "Joint Venture") with Yabang Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. ("Yabang Group") to acquire certain production assets from Changzhou NESL Solartech Co., Ltd. ("Changzhou NESL"), a subsidiary of Yabang Group, which specializes in the production of solar PV modules. The total investment by Trina Solar and Yabang Group is approximately US$45 million which will be used for capital expenditure and working capital. The Joint Venture aims to increase total solar module production capacity to 500 MW within the next 12 months. -

Juwi and Sonnedix Will Build 86 MW Solar Park in South Africa
Sonnedix competed in the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Programme (REIPPP) and became a preferred bidder for the 86 megawatt (MW) project. The Project co-developer is the South African company Mulilo. Financial Close is targeted to be reached by July 2014, with construction work starting shortly thereafter. Commercial operation is planned for the second half of 2015. The Mulilo Sonnedix Prieska PV solar park is juwi’s largest single solar EPC project in the world, so far. “We are looking forward to supporting our partners from Sonnedix to achieve a successful project”, says Jochen Magerfleisch, COO of the juwi group.Franck Constant, President of Sonnedix Solar: “We are happy to be working with juwi, one of the world’s most experienced EPC providers in the field of renewable energies to build our solar park.
