    SPI to Acquire 50MW of Solar PV Development Rights in the UK

    Solar Power, Inc. today announced that it has entered into a non-binding heads of terms with Global Renewable Construction Limited Group to acquire rights to develop 50MW of solar projects in the United Kingdom. According to the heads of terms, SPI intends to complete the construction and development of 50MW of solar PV projects in Wales and the Midlands, with completion for all the projects targeted between the third quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016. SPI and Global Renewable will negotiate in good faith to enter into definitive agreements for each project.

    SunEdison Breaks Ground On 22.6MW Solar Power Plants In Utah

    SunEdison, Inc. today announced the groundbreaking for the 22.6MW DC Seven Sisters solar project in Southern Utah. The Seven Sisters are seven separate solar power plants, four of which are located in Beaver County and three in Iron County, Utah. Rocky Mountain Power will purchase the electricity under seven separate 20-year power purchase agreements with SunEdison. These projects are on the Call Right Projects List for TerraForm Power, Inc. SunEdison anticipates offering these projects to TerraForm Power for investment upon completion.

    KACO Powers UK's 6.1MW PV Project

    Since the beginning of March, 9 of the solar PV inverters have been generating solar power for on-site use at the Marks & Spencer East Midland Distribution Centre in Castle Donington. Totalling 6.1MW, this photovoltaic array belonging to the British retail chain is the largest solar rooftop in the United Kingdom.
