JA Solar to Supply 96MW PV Modules for Projects in China's Qinghai Province
Sept. 10, 2013 - JA Solar today announced that it will supply 96MW of solar modules to CPI Huanghe Hydropower Development Co., Ltd., for use on two solar projects in China's Qinghai Province. Delivery of the modules has already commenced and will be completed later this month. -

SunEdison Closes $212.5M Project Financing Arrangement for 100MW Solar Power Plant in Chile
Sept. 10, 2013 - SunEdison today announced the closing of a $212.5 million non-recourse debt financing arrangement with IFC and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). The debt proceeds will be used to finance the construction of a SunEdison owned 100MWp solar power plant in the Atacama Desert, Chile. SunEdison expects to complete construction of this power plant in Q1 of 2014. -

Yingli Green Energy to Supply 28MW PV Modules for the State Grid Corporation of China
Sept. 11, 2013 - Yingli Green Energy today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Energy (China) Company Limited ("Yingli China"), will supply 28MW of multicrystalline YGE Series PV modules to the State Grid Corporation of China ("SGCC"). -

India's First Green Building Features SunPower Solar Solution
Sept. 11, 2013 - SunPower today announced that Swadeshi Civil Infrastructure has completed the installation of a 930-kilowatt (KW) SunPower solar system on the rooftop of the Indira Paryavaran Bhavan building in New Delhi. SunPower's solar solution was chosen for the project given its energy generation requirements and the limited rooftop area. -

Clenergy Commences Operation of Solar EPC Business in China Through Its New Subsidiary
Sept. 10, 2013 - Clenergy recently announced the establishment of Clenergy (Xiamen) Energy Engineering Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Clenergy. The new company will focus on and specialize in delivering solar EPC services and will build on Clenergy's expansion in China. Scatec Solar Grid-connects South Africa's First Renewable IPP Project
Sept. 9, 2013 - Scatec Solar had its 75MW solar PV plant, Kalkbult, in the Northern Cape region connected to the regional grid Friday, three months ahead of schedule, making the power plant the first REIPPPP project to be grid connected and operational in South Africa. Scatec Solar was awarded the Kalkbult project under the first round of the South African Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Program (REIPPPP). Immediately after the financial close was reached in November last year, the company commenced construction of the plant which consists of more than 312,000 solar panels mounted on 156KM of substructure, inverters, transformers and a HV sub-station. The power from the now grid-connected PV plant will be sold through a 20 year Power Purchase Agreement with Eskom. -

First Solar Strengthens Partnership with Belectric, Announces Joint Venture
Sept. 9, 2013 - First Solar and Belectric today announced the launch of a Joint Venture (JV) that will realize solar energy projects on three continents. The JV - PV Projects GmbH & Co. KG - is based in Germany and will be tasked with developing selected photovoltaic (PV) power projects independently acquired or developed by either of the two companies in Europe, North Africa, as well as projects of fewer than 20 megawatts (MW), in the United States.
