    Kuwait's First PV Plant Underpinned by Skytron Energy's Monitoring Solution

    November 25, 2013 – skytron energy have completed the installation of their supervision system for Kuwait's first solar power plant, in cooperation with their partner company in Abu Dhabi, Enviromena Power Systems. The 117KWp plant was initiated by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) with the aim of raising awareness about sustainable energy production and of accelerating the country's drive towards photovoltaics.

    Trinity Solar Installs 12.3MW of Solar Power on NJ Military Base

    Nov. 19, 2013 - Trinity Solar has recently completed a 12.3 megawatt residential solar installation at United Communities LLC, the private manager of the military multifamily community at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, bringing renewable power to the privatized housing community on base occupied by over 2,100 military families. Generating an estimated 13.7 million kilowatt hours of clean, affordable electricity every year, the system is projected to account for over 30 percent of the community's annual energy usage.

    LDK Solar Announces Onshore Financing Arrangement for RMB 1.56 Billion

    Nov. 21, 2013 - LDK Solar today announced that its onshore subsidiary, Jiangxi LDK Solar Hi-Tech Co., Ltd., signed a framework agreement on November 11, 2013 with a syndicate of 11 commercial banks in China for a credit facility in the aggregate principal amount of RMB 1.56 billion. The use of proceeds of the credit facility is strictly limited to financing LDK Solar's onshore operations within Jiangxi Province, and may not be used to service any existing indebtedness, whether onshore or offshore. The facility will terminate on November 10, 2016, and each loan under the facility may not have a maturity date later than such termination date. Each drawdown under the facility will be made in the absolute discretion of the syndicate and will be subject to additional conditions (including early repayment) imposed by the syndicate on a draw-specific basis. The syndicate has designated a working group to monitor the use of the funds and controlled bank accounts arrangements will be implemented. The facility and any of its outstanding loans are guaranteed by LDK Solar's onshore subsidiaries, Jiangxi LDK PV Silicon Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangxi LDK Solar Polysilicon Co., Ltd., LDK Solar Hi-Tech (Xinyu) Co., Ltd. and LDK Solar Hi-Tech (Nanchang) Co., Ltd., and by Peng Xiaofeng and his wife. The first drawdown of RMB 200 million was approved and completed on November 21, 2013.

    SMA Delivers Inverters and Takes Over O&M Services of 100MW PV Power Plant in Canada

    November 20, 2013 – The Canadian company of SMA Solar Technology AG, SMA Canada, will deliver central inverters for Canada's large PV power plant. Upon commercial operation, and for the next decade, SMA Service will also assume operational management of the 100 megawatt plant in Haldimand County, Ontario, from the owner Grand Renewable Solar LP.

    ReneSola Completes Delivery of Virtus II (R) Modules for 4MW Solar Project in Japan

    Nov. 19, 2013 - ReneSola today announced that, under its contract with NIPPON STEEL & SUMIKIN BUSSAN MATEX CO., LTD. ("NIPPON STEEL"), the Company has successfully completed delivery of 2MW of its polysilicon modules, VirtusⅡ® 260W, in support of a 4MW mega solar project in Uenohara-shi, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. Delivery of the modules had commenced in April of this year as assembly of the ground-mounted project began. This Uenohara solar project in the Yamanashi area is operated by MDI-SB Solar Corporation and is officially delivering power to the grid.

    ReneSola Wins 53.5MW Solar Project in Southern Texas

    Nov. 18, 2013 - ReneSola today announced it will deliver more than 178,000 PV modules, which will be used in a 53.5MW project being developed by OCI Solar Power. The modules will be installed in a project named Alamo II in San Antonio and another upcoming Texas development approximately two hours west of San Antonio.
