Duke Energy to Build Three PV Plants Totaling 128MW in North Carolina
Additional workers are arriving and construction activities are ramping up at three Duke Energy solar facilities – part of the company's $500 million commitment to solar energy in North Carolina. The previously announced facilities in Bladen, Duplin and Wilson counties are expected to be in service by the end of the year. -

Yingli Green Energy Announces Agreement to Sell its Idle Land
Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fine Silicon Co., Ltd. has signed a definitive agreement with the Land Reserve Centre of Baoding National High-tech Industrial Development Zone for sale to the Reserve Centre land use rights to a piece of land held by Fine Silicon currently not in active use and the attachments thereon. -

SunEdison to Develop 2.6MW Solar Power Plant in Massachusetts
SunEdison, Inc. today announced that is has signed an agreement to develop and install a 2.6MW solar power plant for the town of Winchendon, Mass. on a previously unusable 12 acre town-owned landfill site. The landfill site will be converted under Massachusetts' Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SREC II) program, which provides preferred incentives for brown field projects. -

Exco Solar Completed 200KW Tracking System for Yingli Solar
Exco Solar recently announced a completion of 200KW solar tracking system project for YingLi Solar in HeBei, China. According to the deal, 792 pcs of 250W polycrystallineYingli panel be supported by 73 units of Exco tilted single axis solar tracking mounting system which will increase solar system energy output upto 25% to 30% compared with the traditional fixed mounting solutions, to supply for the local farming greenhouses. -

SunEdison Closes Financing for a Portfolio of 97MW Solar Projects in UK
SunEdison, Inc. and TerraForm Power, Inc. today announced that they have closed financing of a 97MW DC portfolio of utility-scale photovoltaic solar projects in the UK that were connected during the first quarter of 2015. The portfolio is comprised of eight large-scale solar farms across England and Wales that will have the combined capacity to power nearly 30,000 homes per year. Individual project size varies from 6 to 19MW. -

Suntech to Upgrade Panel Production to VDE Certified Four Busbar Modules
Suntech announced today that the company will upgrade all of its solar panel production to its four busbar modules. The modules will replace the photovoltaic producer's three busbar module. The four busbar monocrystalline module recently attained the VDE QT (Quality Tested) certification, and the four busbar polycrystalline module will attain the VDE QT (Quality Tested) certification in June. -

Hanwha Q Cells to Supply over 1.5GW Solar Module to NextEra Energy
Hanwha Q CELLS Co. Ltd today announced the signing of a major solar module supply agreement with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. A subsidiary of Hanwha Q CELLS will provide more than 1.5GW of solar modules to NextEra Energy Resources and its affiliates between 4Q 2015 and 4Q 2016.
