    Canadian Solar Completes Sale of LunarLight Solar Power Plant to BluEarth

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., completed the sale of LunarLight, a 10MW AC solar power plant to a subsidiary of BluEarth Renewables Inc. ("BluEarth"). The facility is valued at approximately C$65 million (USD$53 million) and uses Canadian Solar's CS6X-300/305P modules made in Canada.

    Toshiba Group member Landis+Gyr has won a major order to supply a megawatt-class battery energy storage system (BESS) to Helen Ltd. in Finland. The BESS will start operation in Helsinki in spring 2016.

    ISM Group and Hanwha Q Cells Put into Operation the 10MW Solar Power Plant

    Together with Hanwha Q CELLS and other partners, the ISM Group ceremoniously started up the "Alte Kaserne Bitterfeld-Wolfen" photovoltaic farm in the Bitterfeld Region. The solar farm achieves a total output of 10MW and thus generates enough power to supply around 2,500 regional households with clean energy. The ISM Group developed, constructed and grid-connected the project in only six months. Hanwha Q CELLS supplied the solar modules for the farm. Altogether, the 38,456 Q.PRO-G3 solar modules will generate around 11GWh of clean energy per year, thus positively impacting the carbon footprint. As a result around one third of the energy requirement of the grid company, Netzgesellschaft Bitterfeld-Wolfen will be covered by renewable energy.

    Canadian Solar Receives C$71.6 Million Construction Loan from Deutsche Bank

    Canadian Solar Inc. today announced that it has signed a financing agreement pursuant to which Deutsche Bank has agreed to provide C$71.6 Million (USD$58 Million) in non-recourse, short-term construction financing to Canadian Solar for the construction of two solar power projects in Ontario, Canada. The two power plants, both 10MW AC each, have been awarded a 20-year power purchase contract by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) under Ontario's Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) Program.

    SunPower Breaks Ground on 102MW Henrietta Solar Project

    SunPower Corp. today announced it has started construction on the 102MW (AC) Henrietta Solar Project in Kings County, Calif. The system will generate power for Pacific Gas and Electric's customers under a long-term power purchase agreement. SunPower expects the plant to be operational by the end of 2016.

    Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited today announced that it has signed a framework agreement with Xi'an LONGi Silicon Materials Corp.     Juwi Group Starts Constructing a 39MW PV Power Plant in Southern India

    This month the subsidiary juwi India Renewable Energies Pvt. Ltd. starts constructing a ground-mounted utility-scale PV power plant with 39MW capacity. The project is located in the federal state of Tamil Nadu. Grid connection is scheduled for the end of this year.
