    Juwi AG Completed 10.6MW Off-Grid Solar Project in Australia

    Juwi Group developed a 10.6MW solar hybrid system to fully integrate with the existing 19MW diesel-fired power station at the DeGrussa Mine. Single axis tracking and a 6MW battery will be used to maximise the use of lower cost solar power to provide the majority of daytime electricity while reducing the mine's total diesel consumption by approximately 20 per cent.

    SPI Energy and GES Form Strategic Partnership in Japan

    SPI Energy Co., Ltd. today announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with General Energy Solutions Inc. ("GES"). Under the partnership agreement, SPI Energy's wholly owned Japanese subsidiary SPI Japan, will provide local technical support and sales services to GES and deliver more than 15MWof project sales in 2016 and 5MW in 2017.

    IBC Solar Delivers 2.4MW PV Rooftop System in Netherlands

    IBC Solar AG has delivered its rooftop system for solar self-consumption. The 2.4MW were delivered to the province of Gelderland by the Dutch regional company IBC Solar B.V, and officially grid-connected on June 3rd. Approximately 75 percent of the green power produced is used for self-consumption, with the rest being fed into the public grid.

    Juwi Shizen Commissioned 25MW Solar Park in Japan

    Juwi Shizen Energy has just commissioned another solar power plant in Japan. On about 410,000 square meters on the grounds of the former Iwate Hirono Golf Course in the town of Hirono, in the Iwate prefecture, the company constructed a 25MW solar park. The annual energy output of expected 20.8 million kWh will be sold to Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. under the provisions of the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Scheme for the purchase of renewable energy. The project was developed by the Spanish X-Elio group. Operations and Maintenance services are provided by Juwi Shizen Energy Operation Inc.

    Azure Power inaugurated a 28MW solar power plant in Killianwali village of Muktsar district, Punjab. Simultaneously, the Foundation Stone for a 150MW solar project was laid in the same village.     Meyer Burger Receives Diamond Wire Saws Contract from Asian Customer

    Meyer Burger Technology Ltd today announced that it has received an important contract from a manufacturer of mono-crystalline solar wafers in Asia for its new generation DW288 Series 3 diamond wire based silicon wafer cutting equipment. The customer plans to expand its production volume of mono-crystalline wafers to support the increasing demand for its high quality solar wafers. The contract value is over CHF 10 million. Delivery and commissioning of the systems is scheduled for the second half of 2016.
