GameChange Solar 6MW System Powers up Caribbean Island
GameChange Solar announced that a 6MW Pour-in-Place™ Ballasted Ground System is about to ship to the Caribbean. This system, which will support approximately 20,000 solar modules, is going to become a significant part of the island's energy infrastructure. It will replace a large amount of expensive imported oil and help to significantly decrease the island's cost of energy and associated pollution. -

SolarWorld AG Invests in German Wafer Production
SolarWorld AG will invest a double digit million Euro amount to increase its manufacturing quality of solar wafers. At its German site in Freiberg, SolarWorld is operating solar wafer plant, which will soon be equipped with diamond wire saws by Meyer Burger. Diamond wire saws increase the output and production speed. At the same time, costs are decreased and resources saved by reducing material losses. The result: solar wafers which SolarWorld will use for the production of solar cells at its site in Arnstadt, Thuringia. -

NEXTracker Partners with CleanMax Solar to Deliver Solar Power in India
NEXTracker™ announced today it has partnered with CleanMax Solar to supply 30MW of its NX Horizon single-axis trackers to a project in Tamil Nadu. The grid-connected project will deliver energy to a major IT consumer in Chennai, under a long-term contract with CleanMax Solar. Set up under the Group Captive Scheme, 100% of the electricity generated will be consumed in Tamil Nadu. The system is expected to be operational by the end of Q1 2017. -
