Welspun Renewables has expanded its solar capacity in Punjab by 4MW (AC). The latest addition comes close on the heels of its 32MW (AC) Bathinda solar project. Committed to facilitating Punjab's green energy transition, the two projects combined together will be annually feeding 54.37 million units of clean energy to the grid. Consequent to this, Welspun Renewables will be offsetting 1,481,525 tonnes of CO2 emissions over the next 25 years.

Mr. Vineet Mittal, Vice Chairman Welspun Renewables said, "We believe that it's our responsibility to help India meet her development needs by integrating ecological sustainability. Sustainable development of the people can only be ensured if we focus on clean energy and move away from polluting energy sources. With each project the organization commissions; we are helping the country move closer to meeting its clean energy targets. Like all our projects before, this latest capacity addition too was commissioned well before the committed timelines. Given our engineering expertise, I am confident this project will be performing optimally. "
