July 31, 2013 - Yingli Green Energy today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Energy (China) Company Limited, is now authorized to conduct in-house Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification testing for solar modules. The participation in UL's Client Test Data Program further validates Yingli Green Energy's quality control and product testing capabilities.
Yingli Green Energy's UL certification testing will now transpire at the Company's Baoding, China-based laboratory facilities, which reduces the time required to bring new products to market. The Company obtained CTDP certification after passing an assessment by UL, who will thoroughly audit all test results, as well as reassess the management system of the Company's laboratory facilities on an annual basis to ensure the validity of the results.
